Executive Search For Public Library Directors
Hiring a new library Executive Director is one of the most important decisions a library board will make and we would be pleased to provide advice and assistance. In addition to conducting the search, we can help facilitate the process, keep things on track, and help your board reach consensus on the final candidates.
Unlike traditional library executive search firms, we have expertise completing Executive Search assignments in the business (corporate) sector as well as the library community. This experience helps us identify management and leadership traits in candidates, assets that are critical to successful administration of today's library. Our diverse experience enables us to ask the right questions and examine characteristics beyond just the basic skills of a good library executive director.
We are well acquainted with many ongoing library concerns such as budgets, technology, personnel, issues of community standards, and the changing role of the library Executive Director. Our search expertise combined with our library experience means that we offer some unique advantages to any library organization seeking to hire first-rate library professionals.
